DUNGRIPADA

A short history:- Christ the King Church, Dungripada was started in 1936 by the Capuchin Missionaries. The parish boundaries are within aradius of 35km and it consists of 35 villages. There are more than 400 Catholic families in the parish. In the year 1950 a school for the tribals was started by Fr. Egidius OFM Cap. Being surrounded by a mountain, this area is known as ‘Palwad’. This parish is also known as ‘Plasdor Mission’ since it was coming under Plasdor Panchayat in the former times.
