JOBAT
A short history: - The seed of the Word of God was sown in Jobat by the Canadian protestant missionaries long back in 1930s. It is evident from the Sehon Church at Jobat and the Masihi Hospital serving the people of Jobat and the villages around. There were also few Catholic families residing in Jobat. Fathers from the nearby parish Ranapur used to visit these families regularly. Sensing the need for establishing an independent mission station at Jobat, in the year 2011 a piece of land was purchased and Fr. Edward Sarel was appointed as the first Priest-in-Charge of the Jobat Mission Station. In the same year 3 Sisters from the Franciscan Hospitallers Congregation joined for the Jobat Mission. The mission station was formally inaugurated on 14th June 2011.
