UNNAI
A short history: - The credit of laying the foundation of Unnai Mission, dedicated to St. Joseph, goes to Fr. Ernest Schlappa SVD. It was he who regularly visited the region of Unnai when he was the Pastor of Bangor Mission. Fr. Schlappa reached Unnai, and started his evangelization activities among the Malwa Bhils, in 1937. The first Baptism, administered by Fr. Schlappa, was on 20th October 1937. From 1975 there is a resident priest and religious sisters of St. Mary of Angels, Mahow taking care of various apostolates like education, health and development.
